Making a Mark

 

Xie Yi is a tenth grader at Shenghua Zizhu academy in Shanghai, China. He was born into an art family and started his artistic journey as far back as he can remember. While attending middle school, he founded a photography club and began training himself in animation. Along his artistic path, Xie Yi won several art competitions including a Gold Award at the Kentucky International Youth Art Competition as well as another Gold Award at the Victoria International Youth Painting competition. Art has always been a big part of Xie Yi’s identity. He is currently invested in developing a portfolio and pushing his artistic boundaries at Interlochen where he can learn from distinguished faculty members, collaborate with talented classmates, and thrive in a community that values creativity and innovation.
